Nancy Vue, BSN, PMHNH – Student

Nancy is a graduate student currently working to become a Psychiatric – Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She had a great interest in mental health and neurology early on, which prompted her to get her first Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at UNC Greensboro. She later went back to school at North Carolina A&T State University and got her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing to get more hands-on experience with patients. Nancy has been a nurse for 5 years with 4 of those years being in the Neuroscience ICU. Nancy believes that one’s physical health is just as important as one’s mental health. However, many patients and healthcare professionals don’t always seem to recognize that. Nancy is now back in school to get her Master’s in Nursing to become another resource for patients who suffer from mental health disorders. She plans to graduate by the end of 2023.

You will see Nancy around the office and she may also sit in a few therapy sessions. This is a learning opportunity for her and you will find that she is a very compassionate and caring person. She is eager to learn and find new skills to better herself as she transitions into her new role as a Psychiatric – Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
