Meghan Ray, Intern in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Meghan is a counseling intern working toward her licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). She is currently in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Liberty University. Meghan is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Health and Wellness Coach. She earned her B.S. degree in Political Science and a M.Ed. degree in Higher Education Counseling at the University of Florida.

Over the past 5 years Meghan has been working professionally as college career counselor at Austin Peay State University in Tennessee. She has also worked closely with the university in developing intentional programming, group counseling, and conversations around the importance of wellness in  our daily lives. In Meghan’s counseling approach she believes in building authentic relationships and focusing on holistic wellness as part of the therapeutic journey. She utilizes cognitive behavioral approaches to help clients establish goals and work to restructure their mindset to be more in line with the lifestyle they hope to live.

Outside of her practice, Meghan coaches as a personal trainer, competes in workout competitions, spends time with her family, and snuggles her two golden retrievers while curled up with a good book.
