She is passionate about working with individuals to strengthen their mental health and achieve the version of themselves that they strive to be.
Lisa approaches counseling from a person-centered view, believing everyone has the power to make changes toward their own healing and growth as well as the ability to discover this for themselves. She believes it is important for a therapist to be empathetic and genuine with their clients while displaying unconditional positive regard. She also incorporates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy interventions into her approach because she believes having knowledge of these skills can be essential for depression and anxiety.
Lisa is warm and empathetic and believes in providing a safe and supportive environment to prosper change and growth. She has a drive to increase acceptance of mental health in the Asian community by providing the mental health services and the connection of having a counselor that can truly understand. She is also fluent in Vietnamese.
