Katie van Horn Bluestone PsychotherapyKatie Van Horn is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Associate in North Carolina. She obtained her Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminology from North Carolina State University in 2021, and Master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Forensic and Legal Psychology from Marymount University in 2024. Katie has experience working with children, teens, and adolescents with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, self-harm, mood disorders, trauma, life stressors, OCD, ADHD, and other related issues. In addition, Katie has experience working alongside treatment teams in schools, hospitals, detention centers, and in private practice.

She enjoys working with clients from a wide variety of backgrounds and is dedicated to providing compassionate care to children, teens, adolescents and their families. Katie’s approach integrates evidence-based interventions like Child-Centered Play Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed practices, tailored to meet each child’s developmental needs. She strives to work closely with families and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach in order to best support the child and their family. Katie is passionate about helping others by creating a warm and comfortable space for clients and their families where they can work on setting and achieving goals together. Outside of counseling sessions, Katie enjoys spending her free time hanging out with her mini-goldendoodle, friends, and family!
