Justin Johnson-Bradshaw, MA, LCMHCA, NCC

I am a graduate of UNC Charlotte with my master’s degree in Counseling.  I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I have experience working with clients 16+ tackling obstacles such as depression, anxiety, suicidal ideations, and life adjustments. My passion is helping my clients meet their mental health goals and being equipped to take on obstacles outside of therapy along with assisting those with specific challenges with personal identities.

I work from a person-centered perspective in counseling which highlights the importance of implementing unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness. I believe that establishing a non-judgmental environment is imperative for clients to be comfortable and vulnerable. Along with being person-centered, I incorporate CBT therapy which tackles client’s negative beliefs and Gestalt therapy which is interested in how a client’s past impacts their present.

Being a biracial, LGBTQ+ therapist, I understand the hesitancy some clients may have starting therapy. I would like to clear the stigma of mental health with my clients by providing a safe place for clients to better themselves. Therapy can be a scary journey and it is my role to guide you through the therapeutic process. This will help better your mental health and equip you with ways to deal with the challenges life throws at us!
