Jim Soder, MA, LCMHC
Jim completed his Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1992 and entered practice in Asheville. He specializes in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy. He is a faculty member of the William Glasser Institute. James is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). He has worked as an expert witness and vocational expert for many years. He has been performing psychotherapy for nearly 35 years and has many specialties in: physical restoration; pain therapy; vocational counseling; wholistic rehabilitation; activities therapy; crisis management and suicidology; Christian Faith Counseling (if desired). He enjoys doing workshops on many topics. He assists people effectively with any type of relationship issue, life stressors, mental health and wellness issues or addiction issues. He is very caring, compassionate and passionate about his life and work. In his personal life he enjoys: reading, athletics, the outdoors, fishing, hunting, reenactments, movie making (acting), horseback riding, and more.
