Jackie Tingey, MSW, LCSW-A
Jackie has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in North Carolina. She is passionate about strengthening families beginning with maternal mental health. She is working toward certification in Perinatal Mental Health with Postpartum Support International.
Jackie has significant experience working with children and adolescents who are anxious, depressed, or have experienced trauma. She believes in the power of play to help children process challenges and find relief. She also believes in partnering with parents/caregivers and giving them tools to strengthen their home and family. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Trauma Focused-CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Jackie creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that allows her clients to be vulnerable, feel safe, and progress toward the change they seek. She is able to conduct sessions in Spanish and can incorporate Christian themes upon request.
